2007 UK DMC Champion among the first to embrace new DJ controller
Within minutes of being handed his Dicers, JFB was in his element. His old MIDI controller was slung from the back of the mixer and Dicers were at his fingertips.
JFB, who won the 2007 UK DMC Championship, is well known for his amazing talent. His Battlejam project with beatbox superstar Beardyman involves live sampling and beat juggling, where he takes live snippets of beatboxing, and implements them into the live show, scratching and juggling the segments to take the performance to another level.
JFB: "It's amazing. Before, when I was using other MIDI controllers, they were always outside of the decks, so I couldn't use easily reach them. Now, say there's a drop in the tune, and I'm doubling up, and I want to beat juggle the drop, I can chop it up between each beat juggle. It's sick!"
